Shake out those legs! It’s time to leave the winter doldrums behind and get ready for summer riding. Join riders from around the nation and even the world to ride as many miles as you can during the month of March!
How it works
March Bicycle Madness is an honor-system, entirely self-monitored event.
Start by signing-up here. Choose your registration type - DBC Member, non-member, or 18 and under - then visit the mileage tracking site to set up your account and mileage goal for the month. On March 1, hop on your bike and start riding! Record your mileage after every ride to track your progress and keep an eye on the competition.
If can’t get out on the road you can use an indoor trainer or spin class to rack up mileage, but indoor cycling is limited to a maximum of 1,000 miles.
Please visit the Davis Bike Club March Bicycle Madness page for all the official rules and news!
Net proceeds from entry fees will go to the Davis Bike Club philanthropy account. In past years DBC has donated to a wide range of organizations and causes, including the Bicycle Hall of Fame, Davis Community Meals, Helmets for Kids, Yolo Food Bank, fire victim relief organizations, and many others.
The top three riders with the most mileage will be given gift certificates of $100, $75, and $50. Winners will be announced via the DBC website and listserv.
